Bethel Baptist Church is proud to support our own school, BBCS, as one of our local mission opportunities!
Some of the many ways we support BBCS are through school supply drives, encouraging our teachers, and making the church aware of fundraiser activities to support the school!
BBC partners with CareNet to provide prayer, financial support, resources, and assisted counseling because we believe that every human life begins at conception is made in the image of God.
CareNet offers “compassion, hope, and help to anyone considering abortion by presenting them with realistic alternatives and Christ-centered support through our life-affirming network of pregnancy centers, churches, organizations, and individuals.”
Bethel supports Care Net with special fundraising and donation events through the year. You can donate items year-round at the Care Net Crib located in the Slate Foyer by the Preschool Hall. Click here for a list of items Care Net needs for moms and babies!
BBC partners with THRIVE as a ministry to assist Peninsula residents who are dealing with financial hardships and revealing the love of Christ in meeting their needs. The THRIVE ministry works alongside churches to provide a food pantry for struggling residence and families. They also provide cleaning supplies and toiletries. Bethel also comes alongside THRIVE to provide volunteers who serve weekly shifts where needed.
BBC partners with PRM as a local ministry outreach to share the gospel message to those who are in their most difficult times in life. The Peninsula Rescue Mission looks to serve the practical & spiritual needs of those who are struggling through the difficulties of homelessness and poverty, here on the Peninsula.
Bethel has a volunteer group that serves meals at the rescue mission frequently, and we also have special donation drives during the year. You can donate items at any time to PRM through their Amazon Wishlist's here!
BBC provides a worship service with songs and the sharing of God’s Word on Sunday afternoons as a way to build relationships and minister to the residence and staff at Harmony Assisted Living.

BBC is a local partner with the Gideon’s International, who shares the goal of spreading God’s Word within the communities we serve. Gideon’s strive to reach the world with Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through sharing their testimonies of faith and copies of God’s Word.
“Members of The Gideons International personally witness and distribute God’s Word to police, fire, and medical personnel; prisoners; military personnel; students in the fifth grade and above; and to those with whom they interact on a daily basis. Scriptures are also placed by Gideons and Auxiliary in key locations, including hotels, motels, hospitals, convalescent homes, medical offices, domestic violence shelters, prisons, and jails.”
