Our Staff

Ms. Joyce was born in Joplin, Missouri and grew up in Springdale, Arkansas.  After graduation from high school, she attended Oklahoma Baptist University and graduated with a Bachelor of Church Music degree.  She raised three sons and spent many hours volunteering in both her son’s schools and in church activities, including teaching Sunday School, AWANA, Girls in Action, and Vacation Bible School. She has lead a children’s choir and Women’s Bible Studies in the Military Chapels wherever her family was stationed. Ms. Joyce has also been involved in leading Moms in Prayer groups at each duty station.  After 28 years in the military, Ms. Joyce has settled down in the Hampton Roads area and calls Yorktown her home.  In addition to working as a Preschool Teacher, she also is currently employed as a church secretary at Grafton Christian Church.  Ms. Joyce does not have any grandchildren, but she will enjoy working with the 3-year old’s and will consider them as her own “grandchildren.”  She looks forward to loving and teaching these little ones about Jesus and other basic life skills.
