equipping people for life

Equipping U is designed to provide a small group experience for adults so we may dig deeper into a specific area of our faith life.

These areas are related to the spiritual disciplines of Abiding in Christ, Living By God’s Word, Praying in Faith, Building Godly Relationships, Witnessing to the World, and Ministering to Others.

As such, we offer classes each Fall/Winter and Spring semesters designed for women, men, and married adults to learn more together.

“practice these things; be committed to them, so that your progress may be evident to all”.

1 Timothy 4:15

New Life in Christ

Teacher: Ken & Donna Hertzler
Type: Co-Ed
Room: R-9
Description:

The title of this course comes from 2 Cor. 5:17, “If any man is in Christ he is a new creation.  Old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new”. If we are a new creation, that should be evidenced by a new lifestyle; the old way of living won’t do anymore.  This course will help you develop some of the characteristics of that new lifestyle, no matter if you’re a new Christian or have been saved for a long time. Do you have a personal Bible study each day? Do you have a time of prayer each day? Jesus tells us we are to be his witnesses and we are to make disciples. Are you able to share your testimony with neighbors and friends? Have you ever presented the gospel to somebody? Jesus asked His disciples, “Why do you call me “Lord, Lord” and not do what I tell you?”(Luke 6:46)   Here is an opportunity to start doing what Jesus tells us.

The course consists of in-class Bible study plus exercises to do at home to develop your new life.
