Dear Family,
preschool
Thank you for your interest in Bethel Baptist Weekday Preschool! Having chosen BBWP for my own children years ago, I can speak with certainty about the Godly heritage of our preschool. This year, as always, our mission is the same: To partner with families in the spiritual, intellectual, physical, social and emotional growth of children. Our goal is to instill a life-long love of learning and a life-long passion for Christ. We desire that this generation of children may even surpass previous generations in faith, knowledge, right living, productiveness, and joy in Christ!

Here at Bethel Baptist, your child will be actively engaged in hands-on activities, not just paper work! We explore God’s wonderful creation by touching, categorizing, organizing and synthesizing. Your preschooler will practice early literacy skills and classroom manners to prepare for either public or private school.

Children are a gift from the Lord. He has entrusted us with their nurture and care. You will find our staff to be caring, and well-trained, always striving to provide a safe, child-oriented environment in which your preschooler will thrive. We look forward to working with your child and your family!

Sincerely,

Lib Hall
Director
Bethel Baptist Weekday Preschool

Bethel Baptist Nursery School was founded in 1976 by Miss Betsy Mitchell (Mrs. Fred), a church member, former York County teacher, and the mom of two preschoolers. Mrs. Mitchell and her husband, Fred (the coach of Tabb High School football for many years), hand built original play and learning equipment.

The Mitchells also served the Tabb community for those years as founding leaders of Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Their daughters Heather and Megan were the Nursery School's first two preschoolers! Today we have the 2nd generation! Children of those first classmates now bring their little ones to our bright, expanded classrooms at Bethel Baptist Weekday Preschool.

From one class to six we've grown and, in 1984, Mrs. Lib Hall enrolled her daughter Katie, then later her daughter Susan. Twenty-three years later, after teaching in private and public schools, and having founded another local preschool, she became the Director of Bethel Baptist Weekday Preschool.
